Items from the Clay Vault

You probably know that I have a thing for making clay covered light switch plates.  I found a couple of the wackiest ones I’ve done in my WayBack Clay Vault (actually in my Finished Work file):

I love leaves. These are easy to do with a dark green to light green skinner blend.  Pinch the top up to form a basic leaf (or teardrop shape) and then take a credit card or blunt tool and press into each side  to create the serrated edges. This leaf has 2 lines on each side, but here is a step by step photo for 1 line.  Then use a bamboo skewer or blunt pointed tool to drag/draw in the center vein and the side veins and there is a bitchen leaf!
